We were asked by the Microsoft Surface global brand team if we could help support their Japanese marketing partners to create assets for the launch of the Surface Pro 9 device and accessories. With certain restrictions on the product availability at that time we had to shoot imagery from the US, so created our own ‘window to Tokyo’ from New York; working with several local, Japanese creatives in their homes, who helped bring things to life in the most authentic way possible. (Ironically, both talent later travelled to Japan to shoot locally with the Microsoft Japanese teams for a secondary campaign.)
