“CLIMBING”

(A WORKING TITLE)

Introduction

Hello, welcome to a concept shoot we’re looking to produce at Related.

We want to create content that has global reach and meaning, and want to influence our clients to look for more authentic storytelling in their commissions.

To do this, we are looking to create a series of curated stories—that we publish as a journal—to help show them how this can look and inspire them to create content for their brands and products with a similar approach and style.

Our ambition is to create a series of locally produced video and photo essays that capture the spirit of a specific ‘subject’ that is told through the eyes, experiences and beliefs of different people around the world.

We love the idea of celebrating the cultural similarities that bind us together and the differences that identify us all within a global community.

The rich, cultural and personal differences united by simialr passions, interests and outlooks.

Breaking borders and finding meaning in our world.

Brief

For this first edition we want to explore a series of personal stories around the world of climbing—specifically outdoor climbing.

It’s something close to our hearts at Related—and because of this personal connection—we feel it’s a great place to start our series.

We are looking to find climbers in different parts of the world who are happy offering us a window into their world—to open up about how they found climbing, their reasons to pursue this sport, how they challenge themselves, and their relationship with nature and other people in their community.

We want to create a series of personal, intimate portraits in both video and photo that capture the personality and experiences of the climber.

Each production should ‘hero’ a single climber and offer VO around their inspirations and personal relationship with the sport.

We’re happy to add additional people as ‘extras’ but the focus should be on the individual.

We see this first ‘edition’ is a test—a kind of learning exercise to see how this can all work and we’d love to collaborate with you to bring this to life.
